Mt kilimanjaro cost depends on several things. The number of days and the number clients among others. The Machame route, also known as the “Whiskey” route, is the most popular route on Kilimanjaro. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the south, beginning with a short drive from Moshi to Machame Gate. The path leads hikers through the rain forest to Shira Plateau
<p>Morning after breakfast and armed with picnic lunch, drive to Machame gate 2hrs. After registration start walking through rainforest, to Machame campsite 4-5hrs. Dinner and overnight at the campsite 3,000m.</p>
<p>Morning after breakfast with picnic lunches, continue walking to Shira campsite 5hrs. Walk through heather and moorland zone. The day is clear and the mountain can be seen well. Dinner and overnight at Shira cave campsites 3,800m.</p>
<p>Morning after breakfast with picnic lunches continue walking to the eastern side facing the mountain to Lava tower 4hrs. Most of the walking in this area will be on desert-like climatic condition, dry and with little vegetation. Have our packed lunch here and then continue our journey down to Baranco camp 2hrs. Dinner and overnight at Baranco campsite 3,950m</p>
<p>Morning after breakfast, continue with our climb down passing the Baranco wall to Karanga camp. The walk takes about 3-4hrs. After arriving at the camp, get hot lunch and relax. Dinner and overnight at karanga campsite 3,930m</p>
<p>Morning after breakfast walk to Barafu campsites 3hrs. Dinner and overnight barafu campsite 4,600m</p>
<p>Mid night at 1200hrs, after refreshing tea with cookies, start walking to the summit. The walk to summit takes about 6-7hrs. After arriving to Stella point, take breath; continue walking passing crater rim 45 minutes to UHURU PEAK. Congratulations, you are now at the highest point in Africa. Take pictures for about 15minutes at UHURU PEAK, and then descend to Mweka campsite via Barafu campsites. The walk down to Barafu takes about 3hrs. After breakfast and some rest continue down to Mweka campsite. This journey takes roughly 3hrs. Dinner and overnight at Mweka campsite 3,100m</p>
