In Africa, the Big Five game animals are the lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo. The term is as a result of big-game hunters. It refers to the five most difficult animals in Africa to hunt on foot. Similarly, safari tour operators widely use the name to depict the most feared animals.

Black rhino are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance. The area’s low and well-munched vegetation also ensures that animals are easy to spot. Lions can easily be found and can occasionally be watched stalking their prey. Buffalo, cheetah, gazelle, hyena, jackal, wildebeest, zebra, and baboon are just some of the animals that can be encountered at Amboseli.</p><p>Streams from Kilimanjaro surface in the center of Amboseli, creating swamps that attract and support a rich diversity of wild animals and bird life.
